Cash Gifts
A cash gift is the most popular way to make a donation. Cash gifts include cash, cheques, Visa, MasterCard, debit, money order, and monthly giving or bank draft.

In Person
Come and visit us! You can make your donation directly to us at the Foundation office at 89 Norman Street. We are located just inside the main entrance, ground floor, turn right and just across from Tim Horton's. At the office, we can accept your donation by cash, cheque, Money order, Visa, MasterCard, or Interac direct payment (debit).

By Phone
You can make a donation by phone using your Visa or Mastercard by contacting Lisa Waite, Donor Liaison at (519) 464-4429.

Tribute Gifts
You may choose to make a gift to Bluewater Health Foundation in honour of someone special. This is an excellent way to acknowledge birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations, the birth of a child, retirements, or any special occasion. You may also choose to recognize a physician, staff member or specific program at Bluewater Health for the care given to yourself or someone close to you. You will receive a tax receipt for your gift, and a letter will be sent to the honouree acknowledging your donation. Your gift can be directed towards a specific area or program, if desired. The value of your gift will not be disclosed to the honouree.

Memorial Gifts
You may honour the memory of a loved one or special person by making a memorial contribution to Bluewater Health Foundation. You will receive a tax receipt (for all gifts over $10.00), A letter will be sent to the family acknowledging your donation. The amount of your gift will not be disclosed.

Regardless of the size of your contribution, the remembered person's name will be placed on our Memorial Wall, located on the first floor of the Norman building, in the corridor linking the Norman and Russell bildings. A dedication service is held once a year for the family and friends of the people whose names were added to the wall that year. The next Memorial Wall service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, for memorial donations received in 2011. Memorial gifts can be directed towards a specific area or program. Families will often specify where they would like donations to go in the obituary announcement. Most local funeral homes will accept donations on our behalf.

Gifts-in-Kind
A gift-in-kind involves the donation of property, goods or services instead of cash. Bluewater Health Foundation issues tax receipts for the fair market value of most gifts of goods, but cannot issue tax receipts for services (CRA rules).

Pledge Gifts
Pledge gifts can be made annually, biannually, monthly, or bi-monthly. This can be done by transactions on your Visa or Mastercard, or by electronic funds transfer (EFT) directly from your bank account. Receipts for pledge payments are issued once per year, at tax time.
